Recipes
Chicken Noodle Soup
12 cups of water
3-4 cups of cooked chicken
Bring 12 cups of water to a boil. Add the contents of the jar. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in chicken and simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve with fresh bread or crackers.
Hamburger Helping
Chili Mac
1 lb. Ground beef
2 cups water
1 cup macaroni noodles
2 (14 oz.) cans of chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon chili powder – or to taste
½ cup hamburger helper mix
1. Brown ground beef and drain.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Combine well and simmer for 20 ins or until noodles are tender.
Hamburger Helping
Quick Lasagna
1 lb. Ground beef
½ cup hamburger helper mix
1 onion, chopped
2 cups water
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
3 cups lasagna noodles, uncooked, broken into bits
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
1. Brown ground beef and drain.
2. Add mix, onion, water, tomato sauce, lasagna noodles and
and Parmesan cheese in large skillet.
3. Bring to boil.
4. Reduce heat to simmer.
5. Simmer for 15 minutes or until noodles are cooked.
6. Top with mozzarella cheese.
7. Turn off heat and let cheese melt.
Hamburger Helping
Potato Casserole
1 lb. Ground beef
¾ cup water
6 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
½ cup hamburger helper mix
1. Brown ground beef and drain.
2. Add rest of ingredients.
3. Simmer, covered, until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove cover and cook until excess water has evaporated.
Hamburger Helping
Beef Stroganoff
1 lb. Ground beef
2 cups water
½ cup hamburger helper mix
2 cups uncooked egg noodles
½ cup sour cream
1. Brown ground beef and drain.
2. Add water, mix and uncooked egg noodles.
3. Simmer 20 minutes or until noodles are tender.
4. Stir in sour cream and serve.
Mississippi Mud Roast
3-5 pound chuck roast
4 1/2 tsp. Au Jus
3 TBS. onion soup mix or Ranch Dressing Mix
1/4 cup beef gravy mix
1 stick of butter
5-6 Pepperoncini's (optional)
Put your roast in a crockpot.
Mix all of your dry ingredients together and pour over your roast. Place the stick of butter on top of the mixes and add in the pepperoncini's if desired. Do not add any liquid! Cook for 6-8 hours on low or 3-5 hours on high. Serve with mashed potatoes and your favorite veggie!
